Gibson’s Aerials is a family managed business led by MD John Gibson who has over thirty years experience in the Aerial industry.

John’s son in law Jason Richardson is head engineer.

Jason’s love of all things technical has been a major force in driving the company forward in the last six years.

Robert Taylor is also one of our leading engineers with 20 years experience.

Thirty years ago the company started out as Gibson’s Electrical based on Felling High Street. We repaired televisions, radios, and sold a variety of electrical goods as well as records and musical accessories.

We branched out into aerial fitting due to the high demand from our customers.

Some of our first customers were Granada shops, Durham Prison and Gateshead Social Services.

Requests also lead to the fitting of radio communication aerials for the Taxi Trade/St John Ambulance/The Quarry Industry and indeed anyone else requiring a Communication’s aerial.

The trade side of the business ran well along side the domestic fitting side as we also picked up work from a variety of housing associations and landlord’s as well as property management companies.

In later years with the advent of Sky Television and lately Digital Television we have had to keep up to date by attending educational courses and training seminars.
